About

Welcome to Website Builders Resource

This blog is intended to help people who are newer to the Web Development field get a kick start on their career. I am going to document a large portion on what I do as a web developer as I work my way through some great projects.

Feedback

I highly encourage feedback on my blog posts. This helps everyone find the most efficient method for completing the task at hand. If you feel that you have something to contribute, comment on the blog, I am open to all suggestions.

About Me

This blog is ran and maintained by me, Jason Maletsky, in my spare time.

All of the companies I have worked for are smaller organizations so my experience and perspective will be quite different than other developers that work for large development firms. For a smaller organizations you need to help out in all areas of IT such as tech support, networking, hardware setup, server management, etc. which I believe creates a more rounded IT professional.

Smaller organizations do have a major drawback and that is most can usually only afford one developer. As a developer it’s important to collaborate with other developers because you learn from each other. My skills improved dramatically when I was able to work with other developers and the feedback they gave me helped show my flaws as well as my strengths. If you get a chance meet up with your local Users Groups, chat with IRC users, search for other developers on Twitter and collaborate.

Here are User Groups in the Las Vegas area I have attended.

Southern Nevada’s .NET User Group

Sql Server Society of Las Vegas

Las Vegas Linux Users Group
